Biography

Andrea Barbosa is a paralegal with Christy, Keith & Donnell Family Law Group. She works closely with the attorneys and clients, providing support in all aspects of their cases, including discovery, court filings, service of process, document management, calendaring, and trial preparation.

Prior to joining Christy, Keith & Donnell, Ms. Barbosa was a paralegal at Blackhawk Law Group where she successfully managed a diverse caseload of over 150 cases, conducting legal research, drafting complex discovery, and assisting in trial preparation. Prior to that, she was a paralegal at an Oakland-based family law firm, where she provided paralegal support to multiple attorneys and was responsible for calendaring and court filings as well as assisting with the preparation and drafting of pleadings, financial disclosures, marital settlement agreements, and correspondence. She also served as the Mary C. Warren Fellow and Paralegal for the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.

Ms. Barbosa graduated Cum Laude from California State University, East Bay in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration with a double focus in Justice Enforcement and Corrections. During her undergraduate career, she engaged in several internships in leading organizations which developed her knowledge of the justice system and provided her with hands-on experience in the legal field which sparked her interest to work in law. Such internships include time with the Bay Area Justice Corps and the Alameda County Adult Probation. This experience led her to get her Paralegal Certificate from California State University, East Bay in 2020. Ms. Barbosa is also a licensed Notary Public for the State of California and is fluent in Spanish. She is a member of the National Notary Association and the East Bay La Raza Lawyers Association.

Ms. Barbosa was born and raised in the Bay Area. She is a married, busy mom of two. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.
